Please read through to the end for more information on contra-indications before checking out.
Opening your Heart for the Sacredness of the Season!
The experience of ceremonial Cacao creates a body-memory of loving-kindness & well-being that you can replicate at any time, whether you are partaking of Cacao or not.
Our gathering will be followed by a community potluck dinner to continue the sweetness of the evening together.
Saturday, December 6, 2025
4:00 - 7:00 PM EST
A cozy fireside, candlelit home in Fairhaven, MA
*address sent upon registration
Offering: $33
Please note:
The Mayans have used this beautiful plant ally ceremonially for thousands of years and most people find Cacao to be a safe & beneficial ceremonial food. Cacao is not a hallucinogen. Cacao DOES raise your heart rate and lower your blood pressure.
Therefore, Cacao is not recommended for people who have or have had heart issues of any kind (including those using pacemakers).
While most people who take anti-depressants have no trouble with a full, ceremonial quantity of Cacao (one ounce or 29 grams), please read HERE for more information on how MAOI-based anti-depressants can sometimes interact with cacao for some people. It is recommended that those taking MAOI-based anti-depressants start with a half cup at the ceremony. If in doubt, contact your doctor in advance.
Please note that you can still participate in the ceremony by taking less than a ceremonial dose – or none at all – and still receive the benefit of this plant ally energetically. There are numerous stories attesting to the power of Mama Cacao to touch people’s spirits even if she is not taken into the body.
You will find more about what’s in Cacao HERE.
